Full Job Description

Cardiology Physicians is a busy practice of twelve cardiologists and a vascular surgeon who strive to provide the highest quality of cardiovascular services in the state of Delaware and its surrounding areas.

Our staff operates as a caring, competent, and productive team who focus on compassionate and quality care in order to provide outstanding service to our patients and their families. Each member of our team is dedicated to continuous learning, and contributes toward our goal of providing exceptional care to our patients.

We are seeking a full-time RN to join our growing team. You will be responsible for supporting a minimum of three providers. This is a demanding, fast-paced position, but very rewarding.

Responsibilities include:

Triage patients by phone and in person.
Communicate with doctors and implement plans for patients.
Schedule patient elective procedures for your assigned physicians.
Meet with patients and educate them about procedures.
Review all studies ordered by the doctor then call to educate patients with abnormal results.
Record a patient's medical history accurately.
Take and record patient measurements: blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side effects of medications, etc.
Assist physicians with in-office sterile procedures.

Skills required:

Successful completion of RN license program and current Delaware license required.
Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work within a multidisciplinary team.
Cardiology experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret EKG's, blood work and diagnostic studies.
Familiar with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
Understand confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
Excellent knowledge of medical terminology.
Good working knowledge of EHR/EMR.
Compassionate with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
Collaborate with others to complete job responsibilities.

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
