Full Job Description

Commercial Landscape Account Manager

Location: Piscataway, NJ (Northern New Jersey market)
Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 base salary (based on experience) plus commissions
(Easily a six-figure opportunity)

Position Overview

Our client is an established and growing commercial landscape company serving the Northern New Jersey market and is seeking an experienced Commercial Landscape Account Manager.

This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial properties, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring service quality, driving contract renewals, and selling landscape enhancements and additional services. The Account Manager works closely with internal operations teams to ensure properties perform well and client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

This is a relationship-focused role ideal for a professional who enjoys owning client relationships, identifying upsell opportunities, and being accountable for long-term account success.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial clients, including property managers, asset managers, HOAs, and facility representatives
Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships by understanding client goals, budgets, and property expectations
Conduct regular site visits and client meetings to review performance, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement

Account Growth & Enhancements

Identify, propose, and sell landscape enhancements, seasonal services, and additional scope opportunities
Work with internal teams to develop pricing, scopes, and proposals for enhancement projects
Achieve individual revenue goals related to enhancements and account growth

Contract Renewals & Retention

Manage annual contract renewals for assigned accounts
Proactively communicate value, performance, and improvements to support high client retention
Address service issues quickly and professionally to maintain strong client satisfaction

Service Oversight & Performance

Partner closely with Operations and Production teams to ensure contracted services are delivered properly
Conduct quality control walkthroughs and document service performance
Advocate internally for client needs while balancing operational efficiency and profitability

Administrative & CRM Management

Maintain accurate account notes, contacts, proposals, and renewal information in Aspire software
Track enhancement opportunities, renewal timelines, and account activity
Assist with forecasting and reporting related to account revenue

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as an Account Manager, Account Executive, or similar role in commercial landscaping, facilities services, or a related industry
Strong understanding of commercial landscape maintenance services and enhancement opportunities
Proven ability to manage client relationships and grow existing accounts
Experience working directly with property managers and commercial clients
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable conducting site visits and interacting with operations teams
Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Northern NJ

Preferred Experience

Experience selling landscape enhancements or additional services to existing clients
Knowledge of irrigation, seasonal color, snow—allied services
Familiarity with commercial property management or real estate environments
