Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our innovative custom millwork team. In this role, you will transform conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings and detailed schematics that support a variety of projects across custom millwork, interior design, and system design. Your expertise will help streamline project workflows, ensure accuracy in documentation, and facilitate seamless communication between design and carpentry teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects while honing your drafting skills with cutting-edge software tools.

Duties

Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and other drafting software to meet project specifications.
Create detailed schematics for custom millwork, interior layouts, structural frameworks, and system designs that adhere to industry standards.
Utilize SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to produce realistic models and visualizations for client presentations and project planning.
Collaborate closely with architects, carpenters, and designers to refine drawings and incorporate feedback effectively.
Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and material lists that facilitate smooth project execution.
Support graphic design efforts by creating visual aids or animations for client proposals or project updates.
Requirements
Proven experience with AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks is highly desirable.
Proven experience with custom millwork, cabinetry, including kitchen cabinets, vanities, tables, and built in units.
Strong knowledge of drafting standards, schematics development, and system design principles across multiple disciplines.
Proficiency in SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, 3ds Max or similar modeling tools for advanced visualization tasks.
Experience with Bluebeam for PDF markup and document control is preferred.
Ability to interpret architectural plans, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and construction documents accurately.
Knowledge of interior design concepts, mechanical design principles, graphic design techniques, and 2D animation is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
