About Bobcat Bookkeeping

Bobcat Bookkeeping is a growing bookkeeping and business services firm serving small and growing businesses. We provide bookkeeping, payroll, accounting support, and financial guidance designed to help our clients understand their numbers and make better business decisions.

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Temporary Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team and provide hands-on bookkeeping support for our clients.

Position Overview

This position is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys working with multiple businesses and can confidently manage day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and organization.

This is initially a temporary part-time position, with the potential to become a permanent part- or full-time position based on business needs and performance.

Responsibilities

Perform bookkeeping services for multiple small-business clients
Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Record and categorize transactions
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Enter bills, invoices, and payments
Prepare and post journal entries
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Perform bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up projects
Identify discrepancies and research accounting issues
Review financial information for accuracy and completeness
Maintain organized client records and documentation
Communicate with clients when information or clarification is needed
Assist with other accounting and bookkeeping projects as assigned

Qualifications

2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive financial information

Preferred Qualifications

QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification
Experience with payroll
Experience with bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up projects
Experience working with multiple clients
Experience with restaurants, construction, trucking, or other small-business accounting
Experience with Bill.com or similar accounts payable platforms

Schedule & Opportunity

This position is approximately 15–20 hours per week with flexible daytime hours, Monday through Friday.

The position is initially temporary, with the potential to become a permanent position as Bobcat Bookkeeping continues to grow.
