Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals across a variety of practice areas, ensuring smooth operations and efficient case management. Your proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and legal knowledge will help facilitate legal processes, manage documentation, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal administrative expertise while contributing to impactful legal work.

Duties

Manage and maintain legal case files using document management systems such as Clio, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Draft, proofread, and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, correspondence, and reports with precision and attention to detail.
Conduct thorough document review and organize case materials for hearings or trials; perform data entry and filing in both physical and electronic systems.
Support attorneys with procedural law compliance by preparing filings for courts or agencies and tracking deadlines diligently.
Coordinate meetings, interviews with clients or witnesses, and maintain calendars for court dates or legal deadlines.
Perform administrative tasks including answering phones with professional etiquette, managing email correspondence, transcribing recordings or notes, and providing executive administrative support as needed.
Salary range for this position is $16.00 -$20.00 per hour

Qualifications

Legal experience preffered but not required. Will train.
Familiarity with document review procedures.
Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents; meticulous proofreading and transcription abilities are essential.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with project management principles within a legal setting is a plus.
Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to interview clients or witnesses effectively is advantageous.
