Full Job Description

The Ohio Educational Credit Union has been serving its members with quality financial tools since 1933. Our goal is to assist in building our members' financial future through a full range of superior financial services, education and exceptional value.

We are currently searching for an experienced, motivated and dependable individual for our Zanesville Office.

Greets and interacts with members and guests in a professional, positive manner.
Supports branch and OHecu goals for growth and member service.
Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount and examines checks for endorsements.
Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and member balances.
Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions and issues computer generated receipts.
Places holds on deposits according to established procedures. Follows government regulations and security guidelines.
Balances currency, coin and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen. Immediately reports any discrepancies to the Assistant Branch Manager.
Explains, promotes or sells products or services such as travelers checks, savings bonds, money orders, and cashier's checks. Refers members to the Member Service Representatives for additional information on OHecu products and services.

Qualified candidates will have a successful work history in a customer service position with cash handling responsibility - preferably in a financial services environment .

A good record of attendance and punctuality are required. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Must have a working knowledge of computers. This is full-time position. Monday - Thursday 8:15a to 4:45p and Friday 8:15a to 6:15p.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
