Schagrin Home Comfort Products is a 4th generation family-owned local business specializing in propane delivery and the installation and service of gas appliances including HVAC equipment, standby generators, gas logs and fireplaces, and other comfort and convenience products.
Objective
To deliver and install Schagrin Home Comfort Products equipment and merchandise for residential and commercial customers in a safe and professional manner.
Essential Functions
- Perform and assist with installation of appliances (fireplaces, generators, water heaters, outdoor kitchens, etc.)
- Perform and assist with installation of propane gas piping systems, cylinders, etc. as needed.
- General knowledge of how to restart gas appliances and check for gas leaks.
- Maintain records of all work performed and materials used.
- Operate Schagrin Home Comfort Products vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintain equipment and vehicles in excellent condition by performing necessary maintenance (fluid levels).
- Check with Dispatch before leaving any location for additional instructions or work assignments.
- Report problems at the time of the service call to Supervisor.
- Represent Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Schedule Requirements
- Available to work 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Class B CDL with an X endorsement is preferred but not required.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position.
- Capable of handling work environment that is indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
- Job requires working at heights using ladders or platforms, as well as working in crawlspaces and small areas.
- Must comply with Schagrin Home Comfort Products and DOT drug testing policy.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
