As a Senior HCM Business Analyst, you will leverage your ERP experience to provide business analysis for our client's HCM modernization initiative.
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior HCM Business Analyst to serve as the primary business analysis resource for our client's HCM modernization initiative, leading requirements gathering, process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and business transformation activities supporting a PeopleSoft to Workday transition. This position will be full-time contract and onsite and is anticipated to run through December 2028.
Only candidates not requiring sponsorship now or in the future will be considered. Candidates must be within a 1-hour commute of New Castle, DE.
What You’ll Do
Lead the gathering, documentation, and validation of business and functional requirements across HCM workstreams including Recruiting, HR/Employee Data, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and Payroll
Analyze current-state PeopleSoft processes and design future-state Workday solutions, identifying gaps, opportunities, and risks
Develop business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases to support implementation efforts
Support RFP development, vendor evaluations, and requirements matrix creation to assist vendor selection activities
Perform data analysis, data mapping, and migration validation activities to maintain data integrity throughout the transition
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions with business owners, HR teams, and technical staff
Present findings, recommendations, and requirements documentation to executive and senior leadership stakeholders
Maintain requirements traceability from requirements gathering through design, testing, and deployment
Collaborate with project leadership to align business requirements with project objectives and timelines
Support user acceptance testing, test case development, and defect resolution activities
Identify business process risks and requirements gaps and recommend mitigation strategies
Develop training materials and support end-user training initiatives
Contribute to RACI and RAID log activities from a business analysis perspective
Support post-implementation reviews and process improvement recommendations
What You'll Need
Required:
7+ years of business analysis experience with at least 3 years supporting HCM or ERP implementations
Hands-on experience with Workday and/or PeopleSoft including process analysis and requirements mapping
Deep knowledge of HCM functions including Recruiting, HR/Employee Data, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and Payroll
Ability to gather, translate, and communicate complex business requirements to technical and executive audiences
Experience with data analysis, data mapping, and migration validation activities as well as with RTM
Strong executive presence and ability to present to senior leadership stakeholders
Experience developing business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases
Familiarity with RACI frameworks and RAID log processes
Experience with SDLC, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field
Preferred:
Experience supporting PeopleSoft to Workday migrations
Background in public sector or government technology environments
Experience supporting RFP development, vendor evaluations, and contract-related activities
Familiarity with organizational change management and business process re-engineering initiatives
Experience developing and delivering end-user training materials and sessions
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$62-$67 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
