We are always looking for qualified individuals who are committed to supporting students who require behavioral or social-emotional assistance to achieve success in school. This role involves providing targeted interventions, monitoring student progress, collaborating with teachers and families, and helping to create individualized support plans. Lastly, individuals would be utilized on an as needed only basis, who would be willing to provide services with little to no notice, and are capable and willing to receiving phone calls as early as 5:00 am.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans and social-emotional learning strategies.
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate data and documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to support student growth.
- Must be flexible - specific duties may vary as designed by building administrator’s needs. Excludes:
o Teaching classes
o Preparing curriculums
o Grading papers
o Any hands-on redirection
- Will be expected to provide services to students in the various capacities:
o Monitor Halls & Classrooms (checking in on students in a proactive manner).
o Cover a Time-out room and /or the In school Suspension room
o Assist with lunch, bus, or recess duty if needed
- Adhere to all policies and procedure of the school assigned to as well as the hiring company.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in working with students (in a school setting preferred).
- Will be required to have the appropriate permit.
- Must be willing to complete clearances, such as: Background check, Tuberculosis test, Child Protection Registry, etc.
