Regional Property ManagerJersey City, NJ | Luxury Multifamily Portfolio

We're seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of approximately 600 apartment homes across five communities in Jersey City, including a blend of luxury market-rate and affordable housing communities. This position is ideal for an operational leader who enjoys partnering with onsite teams, driving financial performance, and creating long-term value for both residents and ownership.

This is more than portfolio oversight—it's an opportunity to influence strategy, mentor future leaders, and elevate the resident experience across a highly visible portfolio.

Portfolio Overview

Approximately 600 apartment homes
Five communities throughout Jersey City
Mix of luxury market-rate and LIHTC communities
Mid-rise and high-rise assets
Approximately 75% travel throughout the portfolio
Work-from-home Fridays available
Office space available within the portfolio

What You'll Be Responsible For

You'll serve as the operational leader for your portfolio, partnering with Community Managers, Maintenance teams, and corporate leadership to ensure every property performs at the highest level.

Responsibilities include:

Leading, coaching, and developing Community Managers and onsite leadership teams
Driving occupancy, resident retention, and NOI growth
Reviewing financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting
Partnering with Asset Management to develop annual operating budgets and capital improvement plans
Monitoring leasing performance, renewals, delinquency, and resident satisfaction
Conducting regular property inspections to maintain exceptional curb appeal and operational standards
Supporting capital projects, preventative maintenance initiatives, and vendor performance
Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing, OSHA, Landlord/Tenant regulations, and affordable housing requirements
Collaborating with ownership and executive leadership to execute portfolio strategies
Building a culture focused on accountability, communication, and exceptional customer service

We're Looking For Someone Who...

This role is best suited for an experienced Regional Manager who brings both operational expertise and executive presence.

Our ideal candidate has:

Regional Property Manager experience overseeing multiple apartment communities
Experience leading Community Managers, Leasing Managers, and Maintenance teams
Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
Experience improving occupancy, collections, renewals, and NOI
Experience managing luxury apartment communities
Working knowledge of LIHTC or mixed affordable housing programs
Strong understanding of Fair Housing and multifamily compliance
Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently present operational and financial performance
Experience using Yardi or other property management software
A collaborative leadership style focused on mentoring and developing teams
