Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing expert pharmaceutical care, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by delivering safe, effective, and personalized medication therapy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic hospital environment, utilizing your clinical knowledge and patient service skills to make a meaningful difference in patient care.

Duties

Dispense prescriptions accurately while verifying dosage, interactions, and contraindications using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS)
Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients and healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes
Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as needed based on pharmacotherapeutics principles and physiology knowledge
Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by adhering to drug regulation standards and hospital policies
Maintain detailed documentation of medication histories, interventions, and drug regulation compliance

Experience

Prior practicing as a licensed pharmacist in pharmacy and PrimeRx [Micro Merchant Systems].
Demonstrated expertise in managed care pharmacy practices within a healthcare environment
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), and medication safety protocols
Knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, drug regulation policies, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards
Ability to assess patients’ medication needs through patient care activities including medication administration oversight and patient assessment skills
Strong understanding of pharmacotherapeutics for diverse populations including pediatrics and critically ill patients
