Full Job Description

A large, multi-specialty billing office is seeking experienced Credentialing, Drug Authorization, Clerical, Denials and Patient Account Representatives to join our team. Key qualifications and job responsibilities include the following:

Credentialing Qualifications:

Credentialing Experience and process preferred for managed care companies, hospitals and surgical centers
Medical practice experience required
Ability to organize and multitask efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to professionally adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Positive attitude towards continuous training
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers and providers
CAQH knowledge is preferred but not required
Microsoft Office Experience (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Must be able to work and 8-hour shift in office

Responsibilities:

Complete enrollment/credentialing and re-credentialing applications
Maintain a detailed log of all pending and completed work
Communicate the results of status of the applications to manager, physicians and coworkers
Maintenance of physician enrollment and CAQH profiles
Documentation within enrollment database
Coordinate Signatures with manager for providers
Daily call to insurances for credentialing status
Research and resolve claim denials due to credentialing issues

Patient Accounts Qualifications:

Knowledge of medical insurance packages and terminology
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Responsible for working patient aging reports, collection reports, and unapplied credits
Responsible for calling patients to collect outstanding balances and calling insurance companies to resolve patient balances
Excellent communication skills. Candidate will be communicating with offices and patients on a daily basis
Bilingual preferred but not required.

Drug Authorization
Knowledge of retina specialty authorizations preferred. Knowledge of retina terminology preferred.
Knowledge of medical insurances, policies, and protocols preferred
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred
Experience verifying insurance benefits/deciphering EOBs
Experience speaking to insurance companies and obtaining authorizations

Denials/Medical Records
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding as well as medical polies per insurance carrier
Knowledge of Nextech and Athena billing process
Experience verifying insurance benefits and ability to decipher EOBs
Understanding of the insurance denial process

Clerical
Verification of all insurances. Check if the patient's insurance requires a referral and update all copays and deductibles
Advise patients of their balances and self-pay fees due upon check-in for their appointment
Candidate should be detail-oriented and able to speak professionally with patients and insurance companies

All positions require the ability to work as a team player.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
