Bookkeeper & Payroll SpecialistJoin Our Growing Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help clients maintain accurate financial records, process payroll, and support day-to-day accounting functions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and building strong client relationships.

You'll work with a variety of businesses and organizations, helping them stay financially organized while providing exceptional service and support.

What You'll Do

Process payroll accurately and on time, including payroll tax filings and related compliance requirements.
Maintain client bookkeeping records using QuickBooks and other accounting software platforms.
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
Record financial transactions and prepare journal entries as needed.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
Review financial records for accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Assist clients with bookkeeping questions and accounting support.
Support budgeting and cash flow tracking efforts.
Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting experience.
Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop preferred.
Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll tax reporting.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Experience with bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a public accounting firm.
Accounting degree - associates or bachelors in accounting or related field
Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or other accounting software platforms.
Payroll certification or bookkeeping certification is a plus.
Experience preparing sales tax returns and other compliance filings.
