Odyssey Exposure is a fast-growing, Newark-based event marketing firm specializing in pop-up fundraising and charity event campaigns. We partner with some of the most impactful nonprofit organizations in the region, taking their missions directly to the public through high-energy, face-to-face pop-up events across Greater Newark. As we expand our pop-up campaign operations, we're looking for an enthusiastic and driven Event Marketing Coordinator to join our team immediately.
No experience? No problem. We provide full paid training from day one. If you've got the right energy and attitude, we'll teach you everything else.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a pop-up fundraising and charity events role — which means you'll be set up at designated locations throughout Newark, engaging directly with the public on behalf of the nonprofit organizations we represent. Every shift is live, in-person, and people-focused. Day to day, that includes:
- Representing our nonprofit and charity partners at pop-up fundraising booths and charity activations at retail locations, community spaces, and high-traffic venues throughout Greater Newark
- Setting up and managing pop-up event displays and fundraising stations — creating an inviting, professional, and eye-catching presence that draws people in
- Engaging face-to-face with members of the public — starting genuine conversations, sharing the mission and impact of the charities we represent, and inspiring community members to donate or get involved
- Confidently and clearly communicating each charity's story, programs, and fundraising goals to potential donors in a warm, approachable way
- Inviting members of the public to support through one-time donations, recurring giving programs, or other forms of involvement
- Accurately tracking donor interactions, sign-ups, and fundraising data at each pop-up event
- Managing the full lifecycle of each pop-up shift — setup, active fundraising, breakdown, and post-event reporting
- Collaborating with teammates and leadership to hit daily and weekly fundraising targets across all active pop-up locations
- Maintaining a high-energy, professional, and mission-focused presence at every pop-up — you are the face of the cause

- No prior experience required — a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine willingness to learn is what matters most
- Comfortable and confident engaging with strangers in a pop-up, public-facing environment — this role is built around face-to-face interaction every single day

- Reliable, punctual, and professional — pop-up events depend on people who show up ready to go
- A natural conversationalist who can connect with all kinds of people quickly and authentically
- Energetic and enthusiastic — you bring great energy to every pop-up shift, rain or shine
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors depending on pop-up location assignments
- Flexible and available for a consistent full-time schedule, including some weekends as pop-up events require
- Must be based in or able to commute to Newark, OH
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

How Pay Works This is a full-time, performance-based position with weekly pay. Estimated weekly earnings range from $800 to $1,200 based on your fundraising performance and results at pop-up events. Top performers consistently reach the higher end of the range — the energy and effort you bring to each pop-up directly impacts what you take home.
Work Location This is a fully in-person, pop-up field role based in Newark, OH. You will be assigned to pop-up fundraising locations at retail sites, community venues, and high-traffic public spaces across Greater Newark. Locations vary by campaign. No remote or work-from-home options are available — this role is 100% on the ground and in the community.
