What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC lathe equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read blueprints, routing instructions, and work orders to manufacture precision cutting tools.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Monitor tooling, machine performance, and production rates while maintaining quality standards.
- Verify gauges and measuring equipment are properly calibrated before use.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately within the ERP system.
- Communicate production, tooling, and quality concerns to support an efficient workflow.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and ISO procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Five or more years of CNC lathe machining experience.
- Experience performing CNC lathe setups.
- Experience reading, editing, and troubleshooting G-code programs.
- Familiarity with CAM-generated programs (Mastercam or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and perform detailed visual inspections of finished products.
