Full Job Description

Embark on a meaningful opportunity impacting students and families as a contract Occupational Therapist for a leading educational setting near Kent City, MI. This assignment is perfect for enthusiastic OTs looking to blend their expertise in both school-based and home health environments. Leverage your clinical skills, creativity, and compassion to help students achieve greater independence and success.

This contract role covers the period from August 24th through September 25th and typically follows a three-days-a-week schedule (traditionally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). However, flexibility can be offered to accommodate your availability.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (or ability to obtain)
Experience in school settings and/or home health preferred
Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions appropriate for pediatric populations
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and administrators
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:

Perform assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
Deliver direct therapy sessions, both in school and home when needed
Collaborate closely with educators, families, and medical professionals
Monitor, document, and report progress toward IEP goals
Provide guidance and training to teachers and parents supporting students’ occupational needs
