Full Job Description

CoSM Head Chef - Full Time. Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-6pm/8pm with some flexibility.

CoSM Head Chef shifts are from 11am – 6pm with 1 hour long unpaid break, unless otherwise noted. Meals are provided to the CoSM staff, workshop attendees & overnight guests. 2 buffet style meals are prepared, Wednesday - Sunday. Weekend availability is required. The compensation range for this position is $25-30 per hour, depending on experience. Please note that housing is not provided with this position.

Responsibilities include:

Ordering & purchasing food and inventory
Preparing menu in accordance with staff & guests dietary needs
Cooking 2 meals daily
Creating the weekly Kitchen Staff Schedule
Overseeing & assisting with cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas
Overseeing Kitchen Budget
Attending weekly Event production meeting

The ideal candidate has strong leadership & communication skills. 5 years of experience working in kitchens and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are necessary. CoSM employees must enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. This physically active role requires standing for extended periods and moving quickly in a fast-paced environment. A friendly attitude, strong work ethic, and flexibility are essential. The ability to adapt to shifting priorities during events is also required. Comfortability using organizational communication and task management apps is required.
