Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail organization. This leadership role is vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of store activities, optimizing sales performance, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, operational expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of retail processes. They will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing inventory, and implementing strategies that drive efficiency and growth across multiple store locations.

Duties

Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to foster a motivated and productive workforce.
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
Coordinate purchasing decisions and negotiate with suppliers to optimize product availability and pricing.
Implement effective sales strategies and monitor performance metrics to meet or exceed sales targets.
Supervise cash handling, POS systems, and cashiering activities to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Oversee employee orientation programs, ongoing training & development initiatives, and managerial communication.
Conduct interviews for prospective employees to build a skilled retail team aligned with organizational goals.
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing escalated issues promptly and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
Lead marketing efforts within the store environment to promote products and enhance brand visibility.
Utilize organizational skills to streamline store processes, improve operational efficiency, and support overall business growth.

Skills

Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team supervision.
Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
Extensive experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development.
Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping tools.
Excellent communication skills for managerial leadership and team collaboration.
Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales calculations, and budgeting.
Demonstrated ability in operational management including stock control, merchandising, and inventory management.
Skilled in cash handling procedures, cashiering operations, and customer service excellence.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while fostering a positive work environment.
Basic math skills necessary for daily financial transactions and inventory calculations.
Familiarity with marketing strategies aimed at increasing store traffic and sales performance.
