About ReStart Coweta

ReStart Coweta is a nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals and families achieve housing stability through community partnerships, transitional housing initiatives, emergency shelter support, and resource development. As a growing organization, we are focused on building sustainable solutions, engaging the community, and expanding our impact throughout Coweta County.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-focused Executive Director to lead the organization through its next phase of growth. This individual will serve as the primary ambassador for the organization, working closely with the Board of Directors, community partners, donors, volunteers, and supporters to advance the mission of ReStart Coweta.

The Executive Director will be responsible for fundraising, community engagement, organizational leadership, compliance, and day-to-day administration. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping a mission-driven organization grow its impact.

Responsibilities

Fundraising & Development

Lead fundraising efforts, donor cultivation, sponsorship development, and community giving campaigns.
Identify, pursue, and manage grant opportunities.
Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, businesses, churches, foundations, and community organizations.
Coordinate fundraising events and special initiatives.
Develop strategies to increase organizational revenue and long-term sustainability.

Community Engagement & Public Relations

Serve as the public face of ReStart Coweta throughout the community.
Represent the organization at community meetings, networking events, civic organizations, churches, and public gatherings.
Deliver presentations and promote awareness of ReStart Coweta's mission and programs.
Build strategic partnerships with local governments, nonprofits, schools, businesses, and community leaders.
Assist with marketing, communications, and public outreach efforts

Leadership & Administration

Implement strategic priorities established by the Board of Directors.
Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations to the Board.
Maintain organizational records, policies, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, grant requirements, and reporting obligations.
Oversee administrative functions and support organizational planning.

Financial Oversight

Work with the Treasurer and Board to monitor budgets and financial performance.
Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning.
Review financial reports and ensure sound fiscal stewardship.
Support accountability, transparency, and organizational sustainability.

Staff, Volunteers & Operations

Supervise organizational staff and support volunteer engagement efforts.
Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on accountability and mission impact.
Provide oversight of ReStart Thrift operations, including growth opportunities, promotions, and community engagement initiatives.
Help develop systems and processes that support organizational effectiveness and future growth.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

Experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, community relations, business development, public administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, sales, business development, or relationship management.
Experience leading projects, teams, volunteers, or community initiatives.
Strong public speaking and networking abilities.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills

They are comfortable speaking in front of groups, cultivating donors, organizing projects, and managing multiple priorities. Most importantly, they are excited about helping a growing nonprofit strengthen its presence and expand its impact in Coweta County.

Work Environment

This position includes a combination of office work, community meetings, fundraising activities, volunteer coordination, and occasional evening or weekend events. The schedule offers flexibility, but successful candidates should expect to be actively engaged throughout the community and available for key organizational events and meetings.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
