Full Job Description

PRODUCTION WELDER

MIG welding for the assembly of dowel baskets. We are looking for like-minded, goal oriented and dependable people to join our team!

Our production welders work as a team to gather material, lay out components that make up our paving baskets then weld the baskets together.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications.
Set up and stage materials, tools and equipment required for daily production.
Align parts or workpieces to ensure proper assembly.
MIG welding to assemble metal components.
Record production data.
Calculate specific material used/ needed to maintain on-hand material.
Ensure efficiency in operations to meet or exceed production schedule.
Direct helpers or production activities.
Keep work area neat and organized.
Understands and demonstrates industrial safety, specifically working knowledge of OSHA’s 1910 welding requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

You must be able to lift up to 100 lbs assisted.
You must be able to work in extreme temperatures, hot and cold.
Manual Dexterity – holding or moving items with your hands.
Arm / Hand Steadiness- keeping your arm or hand steady.
Near Vision – seeing details up close.
Visualization – imagining how something will look after it is moved around or changed.
Multilimbed Coordination – Using your arms / legs together while sitting /standing /lying down.
Problem Sensitivity – Noticing when problems happen.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent relative work experience of 4 + years.
Production welding experience, MIG / TIG
Vocational or Technical School is not required, but preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
