Accounting & Administrative Coordinator

E&J Fabricators, LLC
Milford, Ohio
Approximately 30 hours per week | Hourly, Nonexempt
$35–$42 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

E&J Fabricators is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Accounting & Administrative Coordinator to support our accounting and day-to-day business operations.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting and administrative background who enjoys working across different areas of a business, developing effective processes, and building strong working relationships with a team. The position will also provide limited support with employee documentation and other administrative needs.

Key Responsibilities

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing, billing, payment preparation, and account maintenance.
Assist with payroll administration and review employee time and job-related information for accuracy.
Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with account reconciliations, month-end activities, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance.
Support job-cost tracking and the proper classification of revenue and expenses.
Monitor outstanding balances and respond to routine customer and vendor questions.
Prepare routine accounting and administrative reports.
Identify discrepancies, missing information, or potential concerns and communicate them promptly.
Follow established review and approval procedures to support sound financial controls.
Assist with project documentation, purchase orders, open-job reporting, and record maintenance.
Perform general office duties, including data entry, email correspondence, document management, and filing.
Provide limited support with onboarding paperwork, employee documentation, and confidential record maintenance.
Collaborate with company leadership and team members as processes and business needs continue to develop.
Provide backup administrative support in other areas as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, or a similar role.
Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll administration, and general accounting practices.
Experience supporting account reconciliations and month-end accounting activities is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
Strong initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial and employee information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn accounting and business software.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or another project-based environment is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college coursework, a degree, or professional training is preferred.

Schedule and Work Arrangement

Approximately 30 hours per week.
Hourly, nonexempt position.
The role will be primarily in person at E&J’s Milford office during the onboarding, training, and ramp-up period, which may last up to six months.
A hybrid schedule may be considered after the initial ramp-up period based on demonstrated accuracy and efficiency, successful management of the position’s responsibilities, team collaboration, and business needs.
Any future hybrid arrangement will be reviewed periodically and may change as the position and company grow.
The position may have the opportunity to expand to full-time based on workload and business needs.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range is $35–$42 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. As a nonexempt employee, the individual will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
