Grants Project Specialist / Data Analyst

Providence, RI
$38.57/hour
Long-Term Temporary Assignment
Full-Time | 35 Hours Per Week | Hybrid

Premier Staffing Source, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Grants Project Specialist / Data Analyst to support a statewide grant management initiative. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional who enjoys solving complex problems, reconciling financial data, and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

The successful candidate will assist with reconciling grant data between the State's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, agency records, and federal grant drawdown data. Comprehensive training on grant reconciliation processes and state procedures will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Reconcile grant-related financial data between multiple systems and data sources.
Compare data maintained in the State's ERP system, agency records, and federal reporting systems.
Identify discrepancies and work with agency staff to resolve data inconsistencies.
Analyze financial and grant data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Maintain detailed reconciliation records and supporting documentation.
Assist with grant reporting and data validation activities.
Collaborate with agency personnel to improve reconciliation processes and data quality.
Learn and apply established grant reconciliation methodologies and procedures.
Complete assignments accurately while meeting project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness to learn new systems and grant reconciliation methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with agency staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with federal grants or grant-funded programs.
Experience performing financial or data reconciliations.
Familiarity with ERP systems, including Workday, is a plus.

Work Environment

Hybrid work schedule based in Providence, Rhode Island.
Initial training provided on state grant reconciliation methods and processes.
Opportunity to work closely with state agency staff on high-impact financial and grant management initiatives.
