Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and organized Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations, vendor relationships, inventory coordination, and purchasing processes for the company. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with Electrical Construction project teams, warehouse personnel, accounting, and operations to ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are purchased cost-effectively and delivered on schedule to support company operations and project success.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily purchasing operations, procurement activities, and vendor coordination.
Oversee the creation, review, and approval of purchase orders and purchasing documentation.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and purchasing agreements to support cost-saving initiatives.
Track material orders, deliveries, backorders, and discrepancies to ensure timely project support.
Coordinate with project management, warehouse, accounting, and field teams regarding procurement needs and inventory levels.
Monitor inventory and assist with forecasting, replenishment planning, and material allocation.
Review invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure accurate purchasing records are maintained.
Evaluate vendor performance, pricing trends, and procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Support and mentor purchasing staff while maintaining organized procurement systems and documentation.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain management experience preferred.
Experience in construction, Electrical Construction, or industrial purchasing is a plus.
Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures, inventory management, and vendor negotiations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
Experience with ERP, procurement, or inventory management software preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Electrical Construction Materials, equipment, and supply chain processes.
Experience managing vendor relationships and procurement budgets.
Ability to analyze pricing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
