Full Job Description

Midwest Truck Equipment, Inc. has been servicing Kansas and outlying areas for over 30 years and counting! We are a distributor for some of the leading manufacturers of truck equipment today such as Auto Crane, Henderson, Knapheide, Liftmoore, and Western Products. With our ever-expanding customer base, we are looking for highly motived individuals to join our team.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for basic daily accounting functions within QuickBooks; such as processing customer invoices, including recording inventory, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and filing. The ideal candidate possesses a strong eye for accuracy, thrives in a structured environment, and enjoys working within a small team. We office competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide general administrative support including customer invoicing, recording inventory, assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, answering the phones, filing, and basic office tasks.

· Complete handwritten service tickets, inspection reports, and customer documentation in a clear and legible manner.

· Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.

· Reconcile bank and credit card statements.

· Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.

· Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal team members regarding financial matters.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years of recent, hands-on experience with QuickBooks (required).

· Solid understanding of general accounting principles and Inventory procedures.

· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with clear and legible penmanship.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

· Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
