Full Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounting associate to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. Must be detailed-oriented, organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and provide good customer service to our tenants, vendors, and owners. Competitive salary plus generous benefits. This is an in person position.

Responsibilities

Post/apply payments in the accounting system.
Make adjustments to tenant accounts as needed.
Review outstanding receivables report and follow up on outstanding charges.
Prepare Bank Reconciliations.
Process/record miscellaneous transactions.
Maintain records of payments and tenant accounts.
Respond to property managers', tenants' and owners' inquiries and resolve account discrepancies.
Manage accounts payable using accounting software.
Assisting the head accountant/financial analyst entering increases in common charges, rents, and assessments.
Scan and verify invoices, accurately code to g/l accounts and enter in the system.
Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental policies/procedures.
Provide assistance and support to company personnel

Skills

Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
Proven accounting experience
Proficient with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
Ability to parse and analyze information
Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
Data entry and word processing skills
Well organized
High school degree
Associate’s/Bachelor's degree or relevant certification is a plus
Knowledge Yardi Breeze - Property Management Software a plus but not required
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent customer service and relationship building skills and able to communicate effectively and clearly.
