Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office procedures, patient interaction, and the ability to navigate various electronic health record systems.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments at checkout
Verify patient insurance information and perform insurance verification tasks.
Collect payments and manage medical collections as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems in EPIC
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Flexibility in your schedule to cover our Malden location as needed.

Skills

Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
Experience in using EPIC (preferred).
Experience in using Centricity (preferred).
Strong understanding of medical terminology.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Ability to work independently.
Experience in medical collections and insurance verification is highly desirable.
Positive and productive attitude and team player.
Strong ability to multi-task.
