Responsibilities

Safely operate emergency and non-emergency medical transportation vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
Provide high-quality patient care during transport, including vital signs monitoring, airway management, and basic life support techniques.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs documentation, and medical history review.
Assist with triage and prioritize patient needs based on severity, especially in urgent care or emergency room settings.
Administer medications or injections as authorized, following aseptic techniques and medical protocols.
Communicate effectively with hospital staff, emergency responders, and team members to coordinate patient handoffs and ensure seamless care transitions.
Handle heavy lifting safely when moving patients or equipment, maintaining proper body mechanics at all times.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, treatment provided, and transport details in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Experience

Prior experience in critical care transport or emergency medicine environments such as hospitals or trauma centers is highly preferred.
Demonstrated EMT experience with certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and advanced airway management skills.
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, venipuncture, medication administration, and vital signs assessment.
Experience working in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous.
Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks reliably.
Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) handling and emergency room procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role.
