CNC Programmer / Prototype Machinist
First Shift | Oxford, Connecticut
About Veloce Engineering
Veloce Engineering is an established product-design, engineering and manufacturing company in Oxford, Connecticut. We help clients develop new products and produce precision prototype and low-volume components for the medical, consumer and industrial markets.
Our machine shop is different from a repetitive production environment. Projects change frequently, and our machinists are involved in determining how parts should be programmed, fixtured, machined and inspected. If you enjoy variety, challenging parts and taking ownership of a job from drawing through finished component, this may be an excellent fit.
The Position
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Prototype Machinist who can independently program, set up and operate CNC equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working from engineering drawings and solid models to produce one-off prototypes and short production runs in aluminum, stainless steel, engineering plastics and other materials.
This is a hands-on position requiring both CNC programming and machining experience. It is not strictly a machine-operator position.
