Community Investment Strategies is looking for an Bookkeeper! What does CIS do? CIS has changed the face of affordable housing in New Jersey. Our woman owned, award winning business has built and redeveloped more then 3,000 units throughout the state bringing high quality options to low and moderate income families. So what makes us different than other developers? We recognize the unique qualities at the heart of each neighborhood, and we design each new community with those intricate details in mind.

We are looking for an energetic individual to join our growing team accounting team at CIS Management. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is interested in finance, enjoys working behind the scenes, and is very organized.

Responsibilities:

Complete bookkeeping entries.
Utilize finance and accounting software.
Gather and manage business financial documents.
Work in a team-based environment.

Qualifications:

1-2 years' experience as Accounting Bookkeeper
2 - 3 years’ experience in accounting in preferred industries : real estate, property management and/or healthcare. - HIGHLY PREFERRED
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; Some College Preferred
Experience with handling sensitive and confidential information
Must have valid Driver's License and own transportation
Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word & Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
