Full Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting the Corporate Controller by overseeing the monthly billings, accounts payable and the month end close checklist. This person will also be responsible for updating costs and billings on the contract status.

This individual will work closely with PMs on job cost analysis ensuring proper cost recognition. Manage month end process and prepare any adjusting entries to be reviewed by the corporate controller.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Collaborate with Corporate Controller, to help prepare monthly financial reporting packages and support annual audit work

· Support accounting team and acting backup for payroll specialist, verify payroll accuracy, union and non-union

· Prepare and manage cash flow forecast

· Collaborate with project management to prepare monthly billings per AIA schedules

· Prepare monthly journal entries, operating expense accruals, intercompany eliminations, & monthly depreciation

· Maintain and reconcile prepaid expenses, amortization, and other accrual schedules

· Monitor for electronic payments and enter daily for AR reconciliation

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

· Construction accounting understanding is necessary

· 5 years’ experience in various accounting functions

· Advanced Excel skills

· Demonstrated experience in accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting

· Knowledge of NYS Contracting System and Audits is helpful

SKILLS:

· Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize, and manage deadlines under pressure

· Self-motivated and highly organized

· Ability to work with people at all organizational levels

· ComputerEase and Textura experience is a strong plus

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
