Full Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality standards in medical imaging. The Radiologic Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Records detailed patient history
Explains procedures to patient.
Perform Surgical Pause for all interventional studies
Positions patients for exams and adjusts equipment for proper exposures.
Practices all radiation safety standards, practices sterile technique when necessary, and utilizes universal precautions.
Adjusts radiation exposure appropriately for each patient.
Notifies radiologist, nurse or supervisors of patient injuries or incidents occurring within the department.
Maintains department cleanliness and order, stocks supplies, keeps equipment clean and dust free.
Informs management of any deficiencies in the department.
Notify management of equipment malfunctions
Attends staff meetings and in-services required by the facility.
Maintains professional ethics and appearance
Participates in training new employees and students.
Assist other departments within scope of practice
Confirm patient appointments
Complies with BMG Corporate Compliance Policy and HIPAA regulations.
Performs other duties as required/assigned.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Completion of a two year school of Radiologic Technology approved by the AMA. Registered by the State of New York.

WORK LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: This position works at all Buffalo Medical Group locations as needed including Downtown, Williamsville, Orchard Park, and Lockport. Schedule for this position is (5) 8-hour shifts per week with the earliest start time being 7am and the latest end time being 6pm.

Pay: $25.26 - $36.41 per hour
