Job Summary

We’re on the lookout for an energetic and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of our HR operations, helping us attract, develop, and retain talented individuals while ensuring smooth HR processes across our growing restaurant family. If you’re passionate about people, organized, and eager to support a lively hospitality environment, this position is perfect for you!

Responsibilities:

Support full-cycle recruitment: post job openings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and coordinate communication with candidates
Facilitate new hire onboarding, including preparing paperwork, conducting orientation for hourly employees, and setting up employee files
Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and answering employee questions
Help coordinate performance review cycles and track completion
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
Assist with compliance tracking (e.g., I-9s, E-Verify, required trainings, certifications)
Support payroll processing by verifying timekeeping data and employee changes
Help plan and execute employee engagement activities and company events
Prepare HR reports and metrics as needed
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Provide general administrative support to the HR team

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1–3 years of experience in an HR support or coordinator role preferred
Strong understanding of HR practices and employment law basics
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity)
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.

Working Conditions:

The role will spend time both in restaurants and at the corporate office, as well as off-site locations for meetings, events.
