Landscape Designer & Sales / Project Manager
Full-Time | $70,000 Base Salary + Commission | Relocation Assistance Available Nationwide
No Mow Worries Lawn Care & Landscaping is looking for an experienced Landscape Designer & Sales / Project Manager to join our growing team.
This is a new position within our company and an important part of our continued growth. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of landscape and hardscape opportunities from the initial client meeting through design, estimating, sale, project coordination, and successful completion.
This is not strictly a sales position, and it is not strictly a landscape design position.
We need someone who understands the creative, construction, financial, and customer-service sides of the landscape industry and can design projects that look great, can actually be built efficiently, meet the client's expectations, and are profitable for the company.
Our target is for this position to be responsible for approximately $1 million to $1.5 million in annual revenue as the position and pipeline develop.
Compensation StructureYears 1–2
- $70,000 annual base salary
- 2% commission on qualifying profitable jobs sold
- Additional 2% commission on self-generated leads that you bring into the company and sell
- This means a qualifying self-generated project may earn a stacked 4% total commission
- Commission applies to projects meeting the company's required profitability standards
- Company profitability expectations will be established and agreed upon
- Up to $10,000 in relocation assistance
- Vehicle reimbursement or eligibility for a company truck after 90 days
- 2 weeks paid vacation
- 5 paid holidays
- Health insurance reimbursement option
After Year 2
The compensation structure is intended to transition toward a more performance-based model after the first two years:
- $50,000 annual base salary
- 4% commission on qualifying profitable jobs sold
- Additional 2% commission on qualifying self-generated leads
- A qualifying self-generated project may therefore earn a stacked 6% total commission
The purpose of the first two years is to provide a stronger guaranteed salary while the individual builds relationships, learns our company, develops a pipeline, and establishes themselves in the position.
After year two, the increased commission structure provides significantly greater earning potential based on performance.
Because this is a new position within our company, responsibilities, processes, compensation details, targets, and expectations may evolve as we learn what works best. Any significant changes to compensation or expectations will be discussed and agreed upon between the company and employee.
Revenue Expectations
Our target revenue range for this position is approximately:
$1,000,000–$1,500,000 annually
This is intended to be a high-impact position within our Design/Build operation.
The company will provide leads and sales opportunities. However, we strongly encourage the person in this position to develop relationships, network, and generate additional opportunities.
To reward business development:
Self-generated leads that turn into qualifying profitable projects will receive an additional 2% commission on top of the standard commission rate.
We want someone who can not only work the opportunities we provide but also help expand our customer base and market presence.
What You'll Be Responsible For
You will be responsible for helping manage your projects from the initial sales opportunity through completion.
Responsibilities include:
- Meet with prospective clients and determine their needs, goals, style, priorities, and budget
- Evaluate properties and existing site conditions
- Measure properties and gather the information necessary to accurately design and estimate projects

- Follow up with prospective clients and close projects
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline
- Maintain communication with clients throughout the project

- Ensure clients are satisfied with the finished product
- Help resolve project or client concerns professionally and promptly
- Build relationships that create repeat and referral business
- Help develop this position and the systems surrounding it as our company grows

You will not be expected to build your entire sales pipeline from scratch.
However, we want someone who sees opportunities.

- And other landscape and hardscape markets throughout the United States
If you're the right person for the position, distance is not a deal-breaker.
Why Join No Mow Worries?
We're building a company where talented people have the opportunity to take ownership of their work and grow with the business.
This is also an opportunity to step into a newly created position and have a major influence on how the role develops.
We aren't looking for someone who just wants to draw landscapes or hand estimates to someone else.
We're looking for someone who wants to:
Design it. Estimate it. Sell it. Help manage it. Make it profitable. And see the finished project come to life.
The company will provide opportunities and leads, while giving you additional earning potential for creating opportunities of your own.
If you have strong landscape and hardscape knowledge, understand construction, enjoy working with clients, and want your compensation to grow with the revenue and profitable projects you produce, we'd like to talk with you.
