Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will assist physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical records. This role is vital in streamlining clinical workflows, enhancing patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare documentation standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Prior experience in a medical office or emergency room setting is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in advancing their healthcare careers while gaining valuable clinical documentation experience.

Duties

Transcribe detailed physician-patient interactions accurately during medical consultations and procedures.
Document patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in real-time within EHR/EHR systems.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of medical records by adhering to documentation protocols and standards.
Assist healthcare providers with navigating EMR/EHR systems efficiently to facilitate smooth clinical workflows.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Support physicians by preparing documentation templates and verifying the accuracy of recorded data.
Review and update existing medical records to ensure they are current and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new documentation practices or system updates.

Experience

Prior experience in a medical office setting or emergency room environment is preferred.
Strong transcription skills with the ability to type quickly and accurately.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used in healthcare facilities.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and general medical documentation standards.
Experience with medical records management and understanding of HIPAA compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure precise recordkeeping.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high accuracy levels. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to expand their knowledge of clinical processes and healthcare documentation while supporting physicians in delivering quality patient care.
Must be a team player and have utmost honesty.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
