Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality foot and ankle care to patients of all ages, with a focus on both preventive and therapeutic treatments. This role requires expertise in various areas of podiatric medicine, including geriatrics, pediatrics, pain management, and surgical intervention. As a Podiatrist, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for your patients through effective diagnosis, treatment, and surgery.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and lower leg
- Perform both elective and necessary surgical procedures, including but not limited to bunionectomies, hammertoe corrections, flatfoot reconstruction, tendon repairs, and fracture fixation
- Conduct minor surgical procedures such as ingrown toenail removal, wart excision, and soft tissue procedures
- Perform routine foot care, including nail trimming, callus removal, and wound care
- Assess and manage foot-related issues in patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes or arthritis
- Prescribe orthotics, medications, or physical therapy to manage pain or mobility issues
- Educate patients on proper foot care and preventative measures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed for comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation for all patient interactions
- Stay current on advancements in podiatric medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities
Qualifications
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure to practice podiatric medicine
- Surgical experience in podiatric surgery is required; board certification or eligibility in foot and ankle surgery is strongly preferred
- Experience or training in geriatrics, pediatrics, pain management, nuclear medicine, and trauma medicine is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families
- A compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on improving overall health outcomes
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Pay: $152,800.00 - $200,000.00 per year
