Echocardiogram Technician - Santa Fe, NM | Day Shift | Travel Contract

Required Licenses/Certs: A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible, New Mexico Echo Sonographer License, BLS from American Heart Association
Experience: 2+ years preferred in performing echocardiograms

What You’ll Do:

Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams on both adult and pediatric patients.
Coordinate with hospital departments for scheduling, patient transport, and billing accuracy.
Assist cardiologists by preparing M-modes and exchanging diagnostic information.
Respond promptly to patient needs during exams and communicate any condition changes.
Maintain supply inventory, ensure exam rooms are clean and organized, and manage patient records.
Participate in departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement activities.
Maintain equipment quality control and coordinate repairs as necessary.
Stay updated on advancements in echocardiography through ongoing education and collaboration with cardiologists.
Support other cardiac procedures as needed.

What You Need:

Required:
- Active A.R.D.M.S./CCI registration or registry-eligible status
- New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of related experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and manual dexterity skills
Preferred:
- Allied health training from programs such as diagnostic medical sonography, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing

This position involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients at a reputable hospital in Santa Fe, NM.
