Job Overview

This full-time, entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their career in public accounting who is interested in building strong client relationships and gaining hands-on experience supporting entrepreneurs and growing businesses. The Associate will work closely with senior team members to deliver accurate financial information, learn best practices in client advisory services, and develop a strong foundation in accounting, financial reporting, and business operations.

This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys learning, problem-solving, and collaborating with a team to help clients understand their financial data and make informed decisions.

Key Success Factors

The CAAS Associate will contribute to a collaborative, team-based environment and support the delivery of high-quality client service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in developing technical accounting and advisory skills. A foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP, cash basis, and accrual basis accounting is preferred.

Daily Contributions

Support senior team members in serving client owners, founders, and leadership teams
Learn client businesses by assisting with financial data collection, organization, and analysis
Participate in month-end close processes, including preparation and review of financial reports
Assist with the preparation of financial reporting packages and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Help perform variance analyses and document findings for senior team review
Support the establishment and documentation of accounting processes, internal controls, and procedures
Assist in identifying opportunities for improved accounting processes and efficiencies
Communicate with internal team members and, as appropriate, client contacts under supervision
Help ensure accuracy, timeliness, and organization across client engagements

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or in progress)
0–2 years of public accounting or relevant internship experience
CPA or CMA candidate preferred but not required
Strong interest in public accounting and client advisory services
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; exposure to QuickBooks Desktop or Online is a plus
Comfortable learning and using new technology and accounting systems
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment using tools such as MS Teams and Zoom
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly
Detail-oriented, dependable, and ethical with a strong sense of responsibility
Self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment
