Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Your efforts directly contribute to the smooth operation of our restaurant or hospitality venue, supporting our culinary staff and delivering exceptional service to our guests. Responsibilities

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly to ensure availability for food preparation and service.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing station.
Follow all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper manual handling techniques and sanitation protocols.
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and storage spaces, to promote a safe working environment.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies or equipment within the kitchen.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous.
Basic knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is a plus.
Experience with catering or banquet service can be beneficial for supporting large-scale events.
Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and manual handling with care.
Prior hospitality or hotel experience can enhance understanding of high standards in food handling and cleanliness.
