Thomas Lumping Service (TLS) is seeking dependable, hardworking, and motivated Warehouse Lumpers to join our Chesapeake, VA operation. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and take pride in working safely, efficiently, and as part of a team.
This position is responsible for unloading inbound containers, loading outbound trailers, and ensuring freight is handled accurately while meeting customer expectations.

Position Responsibilities
- Unload floor-loaded shipping containers safely and efficiently.
- Load outbound trailers according to customer requirements.
- Sort, stack, palletize, wrap, and organize freight.
- Work closely with supervisors and teammates to meet daily production goals.
- Inspect freight for visible damage and report issues immediately.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring quality and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, material handling, unloading, loading, or lumping experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift, including lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movement.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures depending on the customer and facility.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and peak seasons when needed.
- Forklift, clamp, or pallet jack experience is a plus but not required.
