Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations within a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food industry standards, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety, and supporting overall restaurant management to create an inviting and efficient dining experience. Previous experience in restaurant management, culinary operations, or hospitality is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and maintaining high standards of service.
Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (Revel POS), and food safety protocols.
Manage inventory control to ensure proper stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality standards are met across all menu items including casual dining, fine dining, catering, and bar services.
Handle cash management duties such as cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling sales reports.
Support shift management by coordinating team efforts during busy hours to ensure smooth service flow.
Enforce health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety.
Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing staff to foster a motivated team environment.
Assist with budgeting, cost control measures, and operational planning to improve profitability.
Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.

Skills

Proven management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector with supervisory responsibilities.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and food safety regulations.
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, team management, and interviewing potential candidates.
Ability to manage inventory control effectively while maintaining product quality.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Experience in managing various restaurant formats including casual dining, fine dining, catering, banquet services, or hotel restaurants is preferred.
Knowledge of budgeting processes and operational planning within a restaurant setting.
Culinary experience or kitchen management background is advantageous. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant team in delivering outstanding dining experiences while advancing their career in restaurant management.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
