Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Panel Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical panels and electro-mechanical systems used in various industrial applications. Your expertise will ensure that all panels meet strict quality standards, are assembled efficiently, and function reliably in complex operational environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the production of high-quality electrical systems that power critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Assemble electrical panels using detailed schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide assembly and troubleshooting processes.
Install and wire electro-mechanical components such as relays, contactors, circuit breakers, transformers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Perform surface mount technology (SMT) assembly on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using appropriate soldering techniques in compliance with IPC 610 standards.
Conduct electrical testing using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, calipers, and power tools to verify circuit integrity and panel functionality.
Troubleshoot electrical issues by analyzing schematics and diagnosing faults in wiring or components through engineering troubleshooting methods.
Maintain detailed documentation of assembly processes, test results, and inspection reports to ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards.

Experience

Proven experience in electrical panel building within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of PCB assembly, surface mount technology (SMT), and soldering techniques aligned with IPC 610 standards.
Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Hands-on experience working with electro-mechanical components such as relays, PLCs, transformers, contactors, and sensors.
Skilled in using hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers), power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment for assembly and troubleshooting.
Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes or mechanical assembly is a plus.
Ability to interpret electrical blueprints accurately while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Prior experience with engineering troubleshooting techniques for complex electrical systems is highly desirable.
