Full Job Description

We're looking for a mechanically and electrically minded Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial copiers, multifunction printers, scanners, and document systems.

This is a hands-on hardware repair role—not an IT help desk or network support position. You'll work on the mechanical, electrical, and electronic components that keep our customers' equipment running reliably.

What you’ll do:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic components in commercial copiers, printers, scanners, and multifunction office equipment.
Solve technical issues quickly while identifying root causes to prevent repeat failures
Use predictive maintenance platforms and smart service alerts to improve first-time fix rates
Work independently in the field while staying connected through real-time mobile support systems
Access service history, technical bulletins, remote diagnostics, and live support through company-provided technology
Build strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and technical credibility
Maintain organized vehicle inventory and accurate documentation using automated reporting systems
Support team goals by assisting across territories when needed
Continuously sharpen your technical edge through ongoing training on emerging technologies, AI tools, and evolving equipment platforms

Qualifications:

Trade school certificate, associate degree, military electronics training, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred:
Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience repairing electromechanical equipment, industrial machinery, commercial printers/copiers, automotive systems, HVAC equipment, or similar equipment preferred.
Comfortable using hand tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple service priorities throughout the day.
Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally (~90% field-based).
Ability to frequently lift/push/pull 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
While networking knowledge can be helpful, this is not an IT support, help desk, or systems administration role.
