About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced US-based NetSuite Developer to join their team as they prepare to kick off a major NetSuite implementation. This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on technical professional who will play a key role in building our NetSuite environment and establishing the technical foundation for how the business systems work together.
Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable, particularly with job costing, project accounting, procurement, timekeeping, payroll, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities
NetSuite Implementation & Development
Play a key technical role in the upcoming NetSuite implementation, from solution design through go-live and post-implementation support.
Partner with business stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable NetSuite solutions.
Develop and maintain SuiteScript 2.x/2.1 solutions, customizations, workflows, scripts, forms, records, and other NetSuite functionality.
Participate in requirements gathering, technical design, configuration, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
Support data migration, transformation, validation, and integration testing.
Establish development standards, documentation, testing processes, and change-management practices for NetSuite.
Troubleshoot complex NetSuite issues and identify opportunities to improve business processes and system performance.
Integration Architecture & Development
Own the technical strategy and architecture for NetSuite integrations.
Design, develop, and maintain integrations between NetSuite and key business applications, initially including:
HubSpot — CRM and sales/marketing processes
iSolved — HR, payroll, and workforce-related processes
Additional systems as the company's technology ecosystem expands
Evaluate and recommend the appropriate integration middleware/iPaaS platform for the organization.
Assess platforms such as Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, and other integration solutions, considering scalability, functionality, cost, maintainability, security, and ease of administration.
Help select and implement the middleware platform that will become the company's long-term integration layer.
Establish integration standards, patterns, monitoring, error handling, logging, security, and documentation.
Develop and maintain integrations using technologies such as REST APIs, SOAP/web services, SuiteTalk, RESTlets, webhooks, and middleware/iPaaS platforms.
Design data mappings and transformation logic between NetSuite and external systems.
Ensure data flows reliably and accurately between systems and that integration failures can be identified and resolved quickly.
Work closely with vendors and third-party application providers to understand APIs, technical requirements, limitations, and integration capabilities.
Proactively identify opportunities to automate processes and eliminate manual data entry between systems.
Business Partnership
Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, HR, Payroll, Sales, Project Management, Procurement, and other business teams to understand requirements and design effective solutions.
Work closely with the NetSuite implementation partner while maintaining internal ownership of technical architecture and long-term system strategy.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for business stakeholders and leadership.
Challenge proposed solutions when appropriate and recommend approaches that are scalable and maintainable.
Help determine when functionality should be handled through native NetSuite capabilities, customization, or external integration.
