Full Job Description

Position Summary

Mello is seeking a creative, organized, and collaborative Graphic Design Specialist to

support the ongoing visual and marketing needs of Mello Retail, with additional creative

support for Mello Farms as needed. This position reports directly to the Director of

Brand Strategy & Communications and will also work closely with the Regional Retail

Manager to ensure alignment with retail priorities, promotions, and in-store creative

needs.

This is a part-time position averaging 20–25 hours per week, with a primary focus on

creating and maintaining retail graphics, promotional materials, digital menu assets, and

other recurring creative needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable both contributing

fresh ideas and executing an established creative vision, while managing projects

efficiently within a part-time schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Retail Support

Create and update in-store signage, promotional graphics, digital menu assets, flyers, table tents, and other retail marketing materials.
Develop graphics for monthly promotions, new product and strain launches, events, pop-ups, holidays, and sales initiatives.
Work with established campaign themes and creative direction to ensure materials are prepared and approved in advance of scheduled promotions.
Create supporting graphics for social media, websites, email, and other digital platforms as needed.
Assist with apparel, merchandise, and other lifestyle-brand creative projects.

Creative Asset Management

Create, update, resize, and organize product, strain, and menu graphics.
Maintain an organized library of logos, templates, product graphics, promotional materials, and other brand assets.
Help develop and maintain an online creative asset library for Mello's wholesale partners.
Ensure materials remain current, organized, and consistent across Mello locations and platforms.

Brand & Mello Farms Support

Collaborate with the Director of Brand Strategy & Communications on campaigns, promotions, product launches, and creative concepts.
Maintain consistency with established Mello brand standards.
Provide creative support to Mello Farms as needed, including product graphics, wholesale materials, and packaging projects.
Assist with translating approved packaging concepts into accurate, production ready layouts.
Manage multiple projects and revisions while communicating proactively about priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
Adobe Certified Professional certification, comparable training, and/or demonstrated professional design experience preferred.
Experience creating both digital and print-ready materials.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to take direction and accurately execute an established creative concept.
Ability to contribute original ideas and actively participate in the creative process.
Comfortable receiving feedback, making revisions, and adapting as priorities change.
Packaging design experience is a plus.
Cannabis, retail, CPG, or lifestyle-brand experience is a plus but not required.

Additional Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must meet applicable requirements for working within a licensed Massachusetts cannabis establishment.
Must maintain confidentiality regarding pre-launch products, campaigns, and Company information.
Must comply with Company policies and applicable Cannabis Control Commission requirements.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
