Job Summary:
Do you have experience working with a sewing machine in an alterations shop, tailor business, or similar setting? We’re looking for someone like you to join our production team! As a Sewing Machine Operator, you’ll use your sewing skills to help create durable, high-quality products. If you're comfortable working with fabric, following measurements, and staying focused in a busy environment, this could be the perfect fit.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operate industrial sewing machines (training provided) to stitch products such as handles, hems, binding, and covers.
- Follow basic instructions, patterns, and measurements using a tape measure.
- Work with materials that may be heavier or thicker than what you're used to (we’ll train you).
- Stay focused and accurate while working at a steady pace to meet production goals.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Be open to learning and improving techniques with the support of supervisors and teammates.
- Work independently, but also as part of a team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience using a sewing machine in a business or professional setting (alterations, tailoring, upholstery, etc.).
- Comfortable working on repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
- Able to read measurements and instructions in English.
- Willingness to learn industrial sewing methods—experience with single-needle or serger machines is a plus but not required.
- Good attitude, patience, and flexibility in a production environment.
- Must pass a basic sewing test during the interview.
Why You'll Love It Here:
- Hands-on training for industrial machines
- Opportunities for growth and skill development
- Steady, full-time work in a team-focused environment
Additional Information:
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in sewing, alterations, or tailoring who is looking to grow into a full-time industrial sewing role. Whether you've worked in a small alterations shop, done commercial sewing, or have hands-on experience as a seamstress, tailor, or sewing machine operator, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome candidates with experience using single needle, serger, or commercial sewing machines, as well as those who are eager to learn and build a career in garment production or textile manufacturing.
