National Sales Manager

Face Rock Creamery

Location: Bandon, Oregon (Hybrid/Remote)

Reports to: President

Department: Sales – Wholesale

About Face Rock Creamery

Face Rock Creamery is an award-winning artisan cheese producer on the Southern Oregon Coast. We craft premium, handmade cheeses with uncompromising quality and a deep respect for Oregon dairy heritage. As our wholesale footprint expands across the U.S., we are seeking a strategic, results driven National Sales Manager to lead and grow our wholesale channel.

Position Overview

The National Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, building a high performing sales team, providing strong account management, and expanding Face Rock Creamery’s wholesale customer base, including distributors, specialty shops, independent retailers, and regional partners through exceptional customer service. This role owns the full wholesale sales cycle, from prospecting and onboarding to pricing, forecasting, and ongoing account management. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who thrives in relationship building, understands specialty food distribution, and can translate Face Rock Creamery’s brand and product strengths into sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Growth

Demonstrate growth leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive national wholesale sales strategy aligned with company goals.
Identify market opportunities, geographic expansion, and channel development.
Maintain a strong, active pipeline for prospective wholesale customers.
Analyze market trends and competitive activity to guide channel strategy.

Account Management

Own the ultimate responsibility for account management.
Lead relationships with major retail chains, distributors, and foodservice partners.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all wholesale accounts.
Establish and manage sales targets, forecasts, and budgets, setting clear performance goals and KPI’s.
Manage pricing, programs, and annual reviews with distributors and wholesale partners.
Provide accurate forecasts to align with production and inventory planning.
Ensure timely communication regarding orders, lead times, product availability, and promotions.

Cross Functional Collaboration

Be an active participant in Sales and Operations planning, working closely with Operations and Production to meet demand through capacity planning.
Partner with Marketing to develop campaigns, trade promotions, and merchandising programs.
Collaborate with Finance on pricing, margin and sensitivity analysis, and annual planning.
Be a customer service advocate driving customer excellence.

Representation & Relationship Building

Represent Face Rock Creamery at industry events, distributor shows, and regional food gatherings.
Build long-term relationships that reinforce Face Rock’s reputation for quality and reliability.
Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs, product opportunities, and market shifts.

Qualifications

Required

3–5+ years of sales experience in CPG, specialty food, or dairy.
Strong understanding of wholesale distribution models.
Proven track record of driving growth through personal and team performance.
Proven success managing and growing wholesale or distributor accounts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred

Experience with specialty cheese, deli, or refrigerated categories.
Familiarity with regional distributors and independent specialty retailers.
Background in forecasting, pricing strategy, and margin management.
Passion for artisan food and the craft of cheesemaking.
