Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Advanced CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise dimensional inspections and quality control checks on complex machined components using advanced CMM technology. Your technical proficiency and keen eye for detail will ensure that all parts meet stringent quality standards, including aerospace and medical device industry requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-precision manufacturing processes, uphold quality assurance protocols, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties

Operate and program sophisticated CMM equipment such as Hexagon Mfg Intelligence w/polyworks software (preferred).
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, to verify part compliance
Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments like height gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
Collaborate with machining and manufacturing teams to identify root causes of measurement discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate inspection records, calibration logs, and quality documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 standards
Support calibration of measurement tools and ensure calibration is performed according to industry standards

Qualifications

Proven experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), especially Hexagon Mfg Intelligence w/polywork software
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, technical drawings, schematics, and GD&T principles
Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and relevant industry requirements
Familiarity with precision measurement instruments including micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, calipers, and schematics
Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, machining processes, CNC programming, and manufacturing workflows
Experience with quality control procedures within aerospace or medical device industries is highly preferred
Ability to interpret engineering drawings using GD&T symbols and apply appropriate measurement techniques
Excellent mathematical skills for dimensional analysis and measurement calculations
Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards in production environments
