Full Job Description

IT BI DEVELOPER

Job Summary:

We are looking for an IT BI Developerto support our team by turning complex, raw data into clear valuable and actionable insights to effectively drive important business decisions. This role allows you to thrive at the intersection of data engineering and business strategy while you are designing, building, developing, implementing and optimizing data. You will own the full lifecycle of reporting and analytics from requirements gathering through deployment, providing clear and consistent communication across business and technical experts, to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and positioned for long-term growth. This role requires technical expertise in database analyst and management and data pipeline design and integration, with the ability to understand and translate data into actionable plans for technical and no-technical stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design and develop SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data into Microsoft Dataverse and reporting platforms.
Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards, reports, and KPIs using Power BI and SSRS
Develop and maintain Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps and Power Automate
Help define best practices, standards, and governance for enterprise use of Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric
Assist in designing scalable data and reporting solutions using Fabric (lakehouse, warehouse, and Power BI integration)
Partner with IT and business teams to guide adoption and effective use of Power Platform capabilities
Evaluate and recommend improvements to how data and applications are structured within Dataverse and Fabric
Establish enterprise’s best practices, standards, and adoption strategies for Power Platform and Fabric.
Collaborate with stakeholders, gather business requirements, translate them into technical designs, and present clear insights to partners.
Manage the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across solutions, troubleshoot and resolve data, integration, and reporting issues
Acts as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, data development or similar role
Strong SQL skills (querying, transformation, performance optimization)
Experience with Power BI (data modeling, dashboards, DAX, Microsoft Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric (data ingestion, Lakehouse/warehouse, or reporting integration)
Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
Ability to gather and analyze relevant data and define standards, governance, or best practices for data reporting platforms

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), ETL/data integration pipelines, Azure data services or other cloud platforms, experience in a client-facing or cross-functional role

Physical Requirements:

This position requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typing, writing, and analyzing data. Moving, carrying and lifting equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
