Endswell Funeral Home is a modern, family-owned funeral home redefining end-of-life care through exceptional service, transparency, and environmentally responsible options. We proudly offer aquamation, low-emission cremation, green burial, and personalized funeral services, while remaining deeply involved in education and community outreach throughout the Triangle.

We're looking for a compassionate, hardworking Funeral Director who believes the future of funeral service is centered on exceptional family care, innovation, and environmental stewardship. If you're motivated to build meaningful relationships with families and contribute to a growing, mission-driven funeral home, we'd love to hear from you.

-Minimum 1 year experience as Funeral Director.

-Ideally, Funeral Service License (Embalming), but not required.

-Ideally, experience with preneed funeral sales, but not required.

Responsibilities

Meet with families to make funeral, memorial, cremation, aquamation, and burial arrangements with professionalism and compassion.
Coordinate and direct visitations, memorial services, funerals, graveside services, and celebrations of life.
Prepare decedents for viewing and oversee preparation for cremation, aquamation, and burial in accordance with North Carolina law and company standards.
Complete death certificates, permits, authorizations, and all required documentation accurately and efficiently.
Maintain preparation room standards, equipment, and regulatory compliance.
Participate in removals and an on-call rotation.
Assist with the daily operation and continued growth of the funeral home.
Represent Endswell through community outreach, educational programs, networking events, and professional partnerships.
Collaborate closely with the owners and team members to continually improve the family's experience and support a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

Current North Carolina Funeral Director license (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
North Carolina Embalmer license preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Comfortable handling sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Commitment to ethical, family-centered funeral service.
