Full Job Description

Are you ready for a Leadership Role? We are hiring for:

Starting Pay $15.00-$21.00 per hour depending on experience + opportunity for hourly bonuses. All new hires must pass background check!

Surgeon & Associates, Inc. offers psychoeducational and relational support, behavioral modeling of interventions, and supervision to consumers residing in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care services to adolescents, ensuring their basic needs are met.
Instruct and supervise consumers in various settings, including the community, to develop self-control and strengthen social, educational, communication, and vocational skills.
Lead and supervise staff teams, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Facilitate to ensure high-quality care and adherence to organizational standards.
Facilitate and lead social skills groups, life skills training, and therapeutic activities designed to promote emotional regulation, interpersonal growth, and resilience.
Provide training and support to clients in developing coping strategies, communication skills, and independent living skills.
Consult with guardians and consumers on person-centered plans and other issues; guide and instruct consumers toward the accomplishment of individualized goals.
Assess and monitor consumer progress and psychiatric/emotional stability; maintain composure in intense situations and effectively de-escalate behaviors using verbal, non-aggressive techniques or protective CPI interventions.
Assist consumers with treatment and service needs, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
Support daily operations of the home, including meal planning, activities, housekeeping, and recreational programming.
Deliver mental health and substance abuse education and support to consumers and families.
Provide intensified structure and supervision to consumers at all times, ensuring safety and therapeutic consistency.
Serve as a healthy adult role model, demonstrating positive behaviors, accountability, and respect.
Candidates will also document these activities according to NC documentation rules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2 years of paid, voluntary, or behavioral health experience; or Associate degree with 5 years of experience; or High School diploma with 5 years of experience in paid, voluntary, or behavioral health work.
Flexibility to work any shift.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work in at least two of the following counties: Anson, Hoke, or Moore.
Oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge and skills in educating clients in daily living skills.
Observation and decision-making skills.
Experience in implementing group activities helpful.
Knowledge of substance abuse/addiction issues or related work experience would be beneficial
8 to 12 hours shifts
Must be over 21
No Felony Convictions.
No Misdemeanor convictions in the past 5 years that are violent in nature ( assault, DV, armed robbery, etc.) or drug related.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Experience working directly with individuals living with mental illness and children
Experience supporting children, adolescents, and teens with mental health needs minimum of a High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
Required Training and Certifications

Candidates should also hold or be willing to obtain:

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse Certification
CPR and First Aid Certification
Bloodborne Pathogens Training
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certification
Medication Administration and Seizure Management Training
Client Rights and Confidentiality Training
HIPAA Compliance Training
Awareness of DSM-5 Diagnoses
Training in sexualized behavior and trauma awareness
Pre-employment screening includes: Criminal background check, healthcare registry check, DMV check. 40 hours state mandated pre placement training required.
Starting Pay Rate will be $15.00-$21.00 per hour based upon experience. Paid new hire orientation, paid training, employee supplemental insurance coverage (Hospital, Disability,
